The new institute is hosting a Hoodie art exhibition., I went to see this art exhibition because the concept of the hoodie intrigued me. It's a clothing item that is very much loaded under so many layers. Its an item that we find everywhere and almost in everyone’s clothing.

As a teenager this was an item that I always bought and spend my money on. It gave me the possibility to hide myself and not be exposed. Wearing a hoodie really gave me a feeling of power that, allowed others to see what I wanted to see them.
Going to the hoodie exhibition also taught me the ways the hoodie is used as a form of power to influence people. For instance, the Hoodie is used by several ultra rich people, including politicians to, seem like a regular person. The Hoodie is also used to cause this stranger fear. In almost every movie and fairy tale the villain is wearing a hoodie or cape.
The hoodie is also used by demonstrates to hide themselves from government surveillance, furthermore it has been an item of police brutality and the criminalization of members of minority groups. In some places of the world it has become an item that gives the justification to kill young black boys.
